美國東岸維珍尼亞有小貓被箭射中頭部,一度危殆。獸醫指出,若箭頭射入多一厘米小命即不保。憑著強烈求生意志,牠大步檻過鬼門關,現時情況穩定,等待有心人領養。小貓於二月十四情人節應診,獸醫為牠取名「邱比特」。同時,收留邱比特的動物關注組織 Animal Welfare League of Arlington正面臨財赤,期望有心人出一分力,以支撐小貓長期醫療費用。

AFTER THIS CAT …
… NOW NAMED CUPID, ARRIVE AT THE ANIMAL WELFARE LEAGUE OF ARLINGTON OVER THE WEEKEND WITH AN ARROW HANGING OUT OF HIS BODY.
IT’S BELIEVED SOMEONE SHOT HIM IN THE HEAD WITH IT.
HE WAS IN DESPERATE NEED OF SURGERY.
Chelsea Jones/Animal Welfare League Of Arlington: “As you can see, he has a big line of stitches down here. This was actually to repair the infection that was from the arrow that was right here.”
DESPITE HIS INJURIES, HE REMAINS IN GREAT SPIRITS.
Chelsea Jones/Animal Welfare League Of Arlington: “This guy really is a lover, and he’s got fight in him, right? You’re gonna be okay.”
THE NON-PROFIT SAYS THEY WERE ABLE TO PERFORM THE SURGERY AND REMOVE THE ARROW.
BUT NOW, THEY’RE FACING FINANCIAL BURDENS.

CUPID IS STILL FIGHTING OFF THE INFECTION.
